England’s World Cup dream maybe over for another four years thanks to Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. But before everyone heads to the beaches wondering how Roy Hodgson’s boys for Brazil got it so wrong, there is one final piece of soccer business to attend to.
And it is a fair bet the name of Suarez will crop up more than once at the 2014 Northwest Football Awards.
So too that of Manchester City whose Premier League success was the high spot of a season full of twists, turns, excitement and disappointment for all our sides..
As a result they will all come together on November 18 for the Northwest Football Awards along with a new first for the glittering annual event-a three year partnership with Mob Sport, a division of the Mob Film Company.
Mob Sport boasts more than 20 years experience in the commercial and sports production industry and Nick Humphreys, Head of Sport at Mob Film, says:”We are delighted to become a sponsor of the Northwest Football Awards, an event that represents the entire football community at every level and each area of the game.
“Mob Sport is the leading sports production company in Europe and has had the great pleasure in working with many of the clubs in the North West making this association a natural partnership.
“We are really excited about the opportunity to acknowledge and thank those involved with this beautiful game”
So, all roads for the Northwest Football Awards’ family lead to the Point, Emirates Old Trafford on November 18 to recognise the region’s finest contributors to the sport, both on and off the pitch.
“Since acquiring the NWFA in June 2012, the event continues to grow in profile and stature,” said Laura Wolfe, Managing Director from Journey9 and the Northwest Football Awards.
“This is evident not only by the level of attendance from all 32 professional clubs across the North West but also by the media interest we are attracting from the likes of the BBC and Sky Sports and now high profile partners we are securing such as Mob Sport.
“We are delighted to have them on board for the next three years and look forward to the building the relationship across all things football.”
The Northwest Football Awards will take place at The Point, Emirates Old Trafford on Tuesday, 18th November 2014.
