A photographer who has worked with big name sports stars including Usain Bolt and Sebastien Vettel has launched a live auction for signed footballer portraits in aid of The Offside Trust and Football Gives Hope.

Paul Cooper, a Manchester-based portrait and advertising photographer, is running the auction online ahead of the Leesa Northwest Football Awards on Monday, November 13.

Almost £1,000 has already been raised with one-off display portraits signed by Premier League footballers and managers including Sergio Aguero, Wayne Rooney, Kenny Dalglish, Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho to also be auctioned at The Point, Emirates Old Trafford at the awards ceremony.

Paul said: “I hope fans will enjoy owning one of these portraits, as much as I enjoyed creating them.

“I’m pleased that almost £1,000 has been raised for The Offside Trust, which is a fantastic organisation that works to make sport safer for children and Football Gives Hope.

“The online auction and auction at the Leesa Northwest Football Awards truly is a one-off, and present a great chance to get a glorious and unique piece of wall art signed by household sporting names while also helping two great causes aligned with football.”

The Leesa Northwest Football Awards will be hosted by the BBC’s Dan Walker – and recognise football excellence a grassroots level to the very top flight.
